The Journey is over, before it began - But still travelling

Hi friends,

We have just been informed that the sailing trip to Antarctica has been cancelled. Mike, from Ninth Wave Global informed us. Mike came to Ushuaia about 18 days back trying to organizing things of the trip. The Ninth Wave Global's 50ft sail boat that we were to sail on, was delayed in Brazil due to bad weather and they knew it would not reach for a 01-Dec departure.

Ninth Wave then looked for another boat to accommodate us, and FERDINANDE has assigned. Unfortunately the FERDINANDE will only reach Ushuaia from Uruguay on 01-Dec. She has been delayed by the awful weather off the east coast of Argentina (the same weather that hampered the search for the Argentine Submarine.

We were left on the shore with no boat to hop across to the Antarctica. We were offered accommodation on a number of Cruise ships by the organizer but politely declined.

Yes, disappointed, but pleased to reach so far, and to have a great travel mate like David. Over the past month and a half, I have learnt so much. I am fortunate to have good health, get the opportunity to do what I like to do in the way I want to do it.

We must accept finite disappointment, but not lose infinite hope - MLK

My journey continues, and will keep updating this blog.
